SisterTalk Women’s Leadership Empowerment Conference serves as the premier showcase gathering to reclaim womanhood and addresses the challenges facing women through skill building robust sessions and forums, as well as, inspiring women to get healthy minds, bodies, financial well being to create positive impact in the community.
It is not just an event, but an experience, which empowers women to leadership, financial freedom, technology independence, entrepreneurship and liberation. We feature Professional Leadership Development focusing on forging strategic alliances and discussing trending economic, social and leadership issues.
At a SisterTalk, you will have the opportunity to engage in authentic dialogue with an audience of women who are motivated to change, not only for themselves, but in order to help to change their community — through inspiration, passion and the power of ideas.

Kick-off on Friday, November 2, 2018, 7:00 pm with a Welcome Inspirational Praise Evening, honoring Rev. Dorothy Anderson, 2018 Inspiration Award Honoree, Empowerment Saturday, November 3, 2018, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm, sessions engaging presenters with voices that are powerful, real, authentic, and thought provoking. Included in the weekend is culture, dance, fashion, make-up tips, give-a-ways, etc.
SunTrust leaves an imprint during the conference with a plenary presentation, Confidence Starts Here: You’re Not Alone After All: Money, Disappointments & Dreams on the SisterTalk Main Stage and hosts the SunTrust Pop-up Financial Center in the main lobby of the Convention Center allowing attendees to receive one-on-one consultations.
TOWN HALL MEETING: Panel discussion engaging honorees and or women from the business, faith, government, media and various professions gathering for a frank and honest discussion on the issues important to women regarding the #MeToo Movement, health care, criminal justice system, economic empowerment, education, politics, civic engagement, voting, and family issues, as well as women’s self worth, for the purpose of emerging with a roadmap for solutions and collaborations.

We include #GIRLSMATTER sessions and workshops for girls 12-17 years of age.
GCAPP will present #GIRLSSPEAKUP, a session to cultivate a sense of sisterhood for the girls using the proper tools to navigate growing relationships, establish strong boundaries, and avoid aggression fueled by rumors and gossip. Girls will be empowered to be respectful and know their worth.
The Georgia Campaign for Adolescent Power & Potential (GCAPP) was founded in 1995 when Georgia had the highest teen birth rate in the nation. Today’s teen pregnancy birth rate in Georgia has dropped by more than 66%. Jane Fonda founded GCAPP 23 years ago to broaden the teen pregnancy prevention agenda by addressing root causes that go hand-in-hand with the issue such as poverty, child neglect and abuse, dropping out of school, and often, the lack of hope.
With a noted increase of female students heavily engaged in science, technology, engineering and math, the field of aviation will continue to experience a surge in careers among women. Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport proudly presents Careers in Aviation, an interactive discussion featuring dynamic and accomplished women excelling in various roles of aviation. These women will share insight to their success including overcoming obstacles, charting their paths, and how the future of aviation will be impacted by women.
We conclude the day with a GALA in the BALLROOM, Saturday night, 7:00 pm, a black and white GALA featuring a New Orleans buffet with entertainment by national recording artist, Jeffrey Osborne, with Comedian and Host, MC Lightfoot.
